To a Rose
You stand aloof but protected
drawing life from a hose;
Enticing them
with beauty every maiden seeks, while
you deftly veil the beauty beneath, with
brilliant red;
As I reach out to feel the delicate
my hand is impeded by an inner fear,
for I may devour your untainted beauty;
HE too empathizes
causing him to weep
for now I can only stand back and
watch, as you gracefully
Beatify his tears
looking even more magnificent than before
drawing life from a hose;
Enticing them
with beauty every maiden seeks, while
you deftly veil the beauty beneath, with
brilliant red;
As I reach out to feel the delicate
my hand is impeded by an inner fear,
for I may devour your untainted beauty;
HE too empathizes
causing him to weep
for now I can only stand back and
watch, as you gracefully
Beatify his tears
looking even more magnificent than before
